For the second year in a row Reid and I flew solo for Thanksgiving. Last year we went to our local grocery store on Thanksgiving Eve to get our prize bird. So this year in "fly by the seat of our pants" fashion we ventured back to the same grocery store the day before Thanksgiving in hopes of getting the fixings for a feast. The saying "early bird gets the worm" usually holds true with most life situations, but in the case of finding a turkey the night before Thanksgiving the "late bird gets a $30 turkey for $3". The only mistake that we made was that we bought the smallest bird we could find. When it comes to our waist smaller is better, but that theory does not hold true when you want a juicy turkey.
